Former collegiate church built over the ruins of a Templar monastery, vanished in 1313 after the Orden of the Temple was eliminated during the Council of Vienne (1311-1312).
This collegiate church was composed by an abbot, five prebendaries and a sacristan-priest and had a large territorial jurisdiction. Said parish church dates back to the 14th century, in the period of transition Romanesque-Gothic. It has a large rectangular nave with a wooden cover and an also rectangular chancel covered by a pointed vault. Inside the church, under the Romanesque-Gothic arch decorated with rosettes and figures that gives access to the current sacristy, there was a stone sepulchre of a nobleman. The sculpture represented a man with a moustache wearing a fransciscan habit, which indicates that he must have been part of the Third Order of Saint Francis. Linked with this, we must say that on the exterior lateral of the church there is an attached coat of arms that is very likely related to this nobleman. He must have been the one who ordered the building of the church.
In the 1920s, the building of two lateral chapels meant that the church has now a Latin cross floor plan. The current bell tower was also built, as the monastery tower that existed previously was demolished because it was too far away from the church. We must also highlight the window on the Eastern wall of the front part, with a pointed archivolt and small pillars.
