The Roman villa in Toralla is a large country house from the Roman period. These days it is also known as 'Finca Mirambell' because the land was owned by the Mirambell family. In fact, they were the ones who first uncovered the remains of the site in the 1920s.
This archaeological site is the only Roman villa in Galicia that has been fully excavated and is open to the public. Visitors can choose to take a look at the information panels outside the settlement or walk amongst the remains of the houses, salterns and a complex thermal system that reveals the high standing of the owners
