It is a square dedicated to D. Domingo Fontán Rodríguez, a distinguished man of Portas, where you can find a bust of the geographer. He was the author of the first Carta Geométrica de Galicia (Geometric Map of Galicia) where he refers to his village as "hometown of the author”. D.
