Pazo de Lira is a 13th-century manor house with a castro (hillfort settlement) past, intimately linked to the Lira and Troncoso surnames. It has gone through successive transformations and alterations carried out in different times. The house is L-shaped and has a square tower at the angle with a hipped roof. An attached building makes the ensemble U-shaped. The tower, with gargoyles and battlements, is emblazoned with two coats of arms. It is the oldest part of the pazo. Near the tower is a chapel adorned with the Troncoso and Soutomaior coats of arms, as well as a series of inscriptions. The grounds cover a total of 17,200 m² of forest and 42,300 m² of arable land. Today it still belongs to the Lira family.
