Small chapel, with a rectangular floor plan and one nave, located in the peninsula with the same name. Some of the cruellest pages of Baiona’s history were written behind it. Because of its location, the hermitage suffered the assaults of the pirates that attacked the village and it was burnt and destroyed on several occasions. One of them, the pirate Drake, was repelled by the forces and neighbours of Baiona in 1585 when he was burning down the chapel. In calmer times, it was restored by the neighbours. Only the south door, with a semicircular arch and a smooth tympanum, was salvaged from its original transitional Romanesque style.
